Office revamp offers one-stop shop for tenants

William Sutton Homes this week unveiled a new-look estate office in Sutton Approach, Alum Rock, which re-opened following a £75,000 revamp.

The office is the main point of contact for tenants living in our 350-plus homes at Alum Rock.

Thanks to an extension and complete upgrade the office will now be home to more local staff, enabling us to offer a wider range of services from a more accessible venue.

Representatives from Birmingham City Council and the Housing Corporation visited the site for a tour of the facility during a grand unveiling on Monday (May 19).

The office upgrade is the latest part of William Sutton Homes’ investment in the Alum Rock community. Last year we joined forces with Washwood Heath Children’s Centre, which is now providing activities for young families from the community centre on the estate.

This year William Sutton Homes will also spend more than half a million pounds improving parking areas, decorating the outside of properties and installing new bathrooms.

Mark Bruckshaw, estate manager for William Sutton Homes, said: “We are delighted to have been able to invest this money in improving the estate office.

“It is the main port of call for our residents and the refurbishment has created a much more pleasant environment. We have also been able to extend the space so that it can become a base for more local staff.
